Shri Sai Satcharita-Parayan

SRI-SAI-SATCHARITA-PHOTO-parayan
This exercise is something which I have been getting messages for, from a long time ago. Since I am a writer and a believer of Sai Baba Of Shirdi, I used to get indications from Sai Baba that I should read the Sai Satcharita everyday and attempt to do the parayan. But I never could do that. So one day, a thought came to mind which was obviously sent by Sai Baba, that instead of reading I can also write the Shri Sai Satcharita and thus complete the parayan.  Since I am a writer, I know I will be able to achieve this goal. For people like me who are lazy this is the best way to finish the parayan.
So this is an attempt from me to write down Shri Sai Satcharita in my own words.
With the grace of Shri Sai Baba and blessings from Maa Saraswati, I embark on this journey of trying to understand the true meaning of Shri Sai Satcharita and in the process, get to know myself better.
I will attempt, with the help of Sai Baba’s grace, to write one chapter every day until I finish all the chapters. I pray that Baba gives me the strength and the will power to go through with this to the best of my abilities.
I want to thank some people who have inspired me to be a believer and who have, in a way, introduced me to who and what the ‘real’ Sai Baba is and the meaning of being a Sai Devotee. One of them is Shri Alpesh Patel who writes a blog on Shirdi Sai Baba- www.babasaiofshirdi.org.
scan0021For your information, I would also like to be honest about the fact that I have been a bit lost and angry with everything happening in my life. I have also been upset with Sai Baba and I asked him with all my heart to give me a sign so that I can really believe again...and guess what, He did. Now, after a series of incidents and indications from Sai Baba, I have come to realize that there is a force, there is a power somewhere up there which is looking after us and which is always there for us whenever we ask them to.
Today, I ask Sai Baba to be with me, sit beside me and help me achieve all that I have set out to achieve.
With a heartfelt thanks to Shri Alpesh Patel, the owner and editor of the website, www.babasaiofshirdi.org, for inspiring me, I begin my parayan of the holy text Shri Sai Satcharita.
Shri Sai Satcharita was originally written by Govind Raghunath Dabholkar who was given the name, Hemadpant, by Sai Baba. The original book was in Marathi and it was translated into a lot of languages including English. The English version of Shri Sai Satcharita was written by Nagesh Vasudev Gunaji, B.A. L.L.B.
